One of my favourite things about Instagram is the online community that it builds. I have come across so many local bloggers and entrepreneurs that not only have I been able to support by shopping local or reading their blogs, but I’ve been able to engage with on a more personal level. I truly love the mentality of collaboration over competition, which is just one of the many reasons I am such a fan of Chalie over at GOLDNgrasses, as she truly exhibits this mentality (while also throwing some amazing parties and creating some awesome DIYs!). Although we have yet to meet in person, I’ve been following Chalie for a while now and have a huge appreciation for her #realstagram stories, as well as her ability to be a hard working mama and boss babe! When she posted that she was looking for collaborators for her son Tristan’s 5th birthday party, I decided to bite the bullet and reach out. It was my first time reaching out to someone for a collaboration and I was beyond nervous (just ask my girls Kristen and Jenna to see the dithering group chat messages I sent them!) so I was thrilled when Chalie messaged back saying she’d love to have us on board the project.
I was honoured to create three custom printables for Tristan’s Lego City themed 5th birthday party. The three designs that I made were the “Master Builder”, “Lego my Donut”, & “It’s Not a Good Party Unless the Cops Show Up”. Chalie was wonderful to work with and it was so much fun bringing her visions to life. As with all of Chalie’s parties, this one had it all, with every small detail being taken into consideration! Check out some of the photos below to see our designs, and also all of the other detail and hard work that went into this fun day!
Happy birthday Tristan! And a huge thank-you to Chalie for letting me be part of his special day. I can’t wait to work with her again in the future. Now head on over to her blog to show her some love and to see a full recap of this party and find out about all of the people who a hand in making this day happen!
